I believe you mean 'line set' and it's different strokes for different folks, wind conditions and skill levels. 150' is generally good for beginners, high winds and ballet style kites. 50' is good for advanced flyers, light wind, SUL and trick kites. 80-100' is a good inbetween length and I seem touse that the most. You will also need to match the strength of your line to the wind and kite requirements. No one line set is going to fill all requirements but 80# 80' is a good place to start.

That's a tough question to answer. What are you trying to achieve? Precision? Tricks? What I do is tie for the purpose at hand. Make it look like something you've seen before and measure everything. Modify as necessary. As long as you have a reference point you can progress to what it is that you desire. HTH Ron

You may wish to post what kite the bridle is going onto - your original question is not specific enough. Every kite has very different bridle dimensions. If you're designing a kite, check Aik's website for a bridle designing utility that will get you started.

Ok every kite has diffrent bridle dimenson, yes but, How do I figure out ( calculations ) the lenght for the diffrent type of stunt kites. Do i have to mesure wing span, then leading edge to leding edge....etc and that should tell me the dimension. Now do you see What i want totry to figure out.

Ah - you wonna know how to construct a bridle.
I usually start with a three point bridle. I take the length of the lower LE to T-Connector equal the length of the lower spreader, tow point somewhere in between (in the middle as a first appproach). This makes an equilateral triangle. Then adust the third line from the tow point to upper LE so that the kite flies reasonable. Then move the tow point inside/outside (play and fly). Note: Tow points too much outside may bend/break your lower spreader.
