Today was my first attempt at KiteSurfing. I was using a 147cm Wakeboard and a JOJO 5.5 Instinct Foil Kite in about 25-30 km winds. Whatever the windspeed. I think I was underpowered by a good 5 km/h. I managed to plane for a few seconds at a time and then just sink. I was having to really work the kite (figure 8) to get power. I guess it's harder starting on a wakeboard. It was fun anyways. Anyone know what winds I should be looking for to surf with a 5.5 Foil kite?

I have 5.0 foil and it works in the neighbourhood of 15-22 knots for me. A wakeboard will surely lenghten your learning process and require more wind.
