Good news Theresa bought me a kite in Leeds the other day! Bad news - it wasn't the Gemini in the new AntiGravity shop

The toy shop in a shopping centre had some Top of the Line kites and, having heard o fthem we got one! We chose a single line 'ram air monoplane' - a single liner which looks like an aeroplane. We could have gone for the triplane, but to be honest we have a triplane type thing with the galleon.

Anyway we trogged over to Temple Newsam park to fly the b*gger, along with a bag full of 15mph+ kites (the wind was brill!) However some b*****ds had decided a festival there required the whole damn park to be fenced off (weeks in advance) so no flying today!

On a similar issue has anyone tried Saville Park in Halifax? The Halifax show was on it last weekend, and the space is incredible!

OK, that's me done

Hi Mark & Theresa,

I know Temple Newsam well. I have buggied there with great success. Do you live nearby?. I live in Leeds. As for the Ant-Gravity shop, I think it is well received here in Leeds as up to press I have bought all my kiting needs from a shop down south. If we support the new shop we should be ok for some time.

Regards

Simon.

It's a little place around the midlands of England (I can't remember the exact location as I haven't been there for nearly 25 years), which has a windmill and is remembered by the phrase: 'Brill on the hill, where the wind blows chill.' It's probably a pretty good place for kite flying.

There's also 'Stow on the Wold, where the wind blows cold.'

Hope that helps. ;o)

OK - multi guess time...

Its a flat fish

Its a cornish tin mining term

Its an abbreviation for brilliant (why is 'abbreviation' such a long word?!)

Yes - Call my Bluff is back on BBC (more brit references!)
